As a Registered Dental Hygienist with Simba Dental, you will be responsible for delivering a Distinctive Patient Experience to our growing patient base. We are seeking an individual who has a commitment to excellence in their actions, words, and intention. This person should be seeking to be the best version of themselves while striving to continuously grow and innovate to better serve our patients.
Essential responsibilities and duties:
- Ensure patient’s comfort before their examination.
- Help sterilize dental instruments properly.
- Conduct initial mouth exam and screenings.
- Check patient’s medical and dental history.
- Identify gingivitis, periodontitis, and dental caries.
- Clean patients’ teeth (regular prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, coronal polishing)
- Help protect patient’s teeth (apply fluoride or varnish as needed)
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
- Give instructions to patients following procedures.
- Take imaging X-rays as needed, and Intraoral scans.
- Assist dentists to identify oral lesions that may require biopsy.
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient.
- Schedule patient’s next recall visit(s).
Education and Experience:
- Associate Degree, or equivalent in Dental Hygiene.
- At least three years of clinical experience, required.
- Local Anesthesia License in the state of Indiana, required.
- Dental Hygiene License in the state of Indiana, required.

- Knowledge of Health and safety regulations in the dental profession (such as HIPAA).
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental instruments.

- Grit and Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Although we expect production, planning and management must be patient centric. The production and collection will become organic.
- Good practical business skills; decision-making skills.
