As a Registered Dental Hygienist with Simba Dental, you will be responsible for delivering a Distinctive Patient Experience to our growing patient base. We are seeking an individual who has a commitment to excellence in their actions, words, and intention. This person should be seeking to be the best version of themselves while striving to continuously grow and innovate to better serve our patients.
Essential responsibilities and duties:
- Ensure patient’s comfort before their examination.
- Help sterilize dental instruments properly.
- Conduct initial mouth exam and screenings.
- Check patient’s medical and dental history.
- Identify gingivitis, periodontitis, and dental caries.
- Clean patients’ teeth (regular prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, coronal polishing)
- Help protect patient’s teeth (apply fluoride or varnish as needed)
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
- Give instructions to patients following procedures.
- Take imaging X-rays as needed, and Intraoral scans.
- Assist dentists to identify oral lesions that may require biopsy.
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient.
- Schedule patient’s next recall visit(s).
Education and Experience:
- Associate Degree, or equivalent in Dental Hygiene.
- At least three years of clinical experience, required.
- Local Anesthesia License in the state of Indiana, required.
- Dental Hygiene License in the state of Indiana, required.

In this role, you will assist the dentist to make delivered care more efficient and pleasant for patients. You will create a friendly environment and help create efficiency with all clinical related tasks. As a Dental assistant you should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Establish a trusting positive rapport with all patients.
- Ensures that exceptional patient experience is delivered to every patient.
- Keep rooms stocked and organized ready for next procedures.
- Clean, sterilize, and dental equipment.
- Clean, sterilize, and prepares dental instruments for each patient.
- Organizing and laying out instruments for dentist’s use.
- Set up rooms for all procedures, and ready for patients’ and doctor.
- After each patient, clean, sterilize operatory and instrumentation according to OSHA / CDC standards.
- Aware of schedule changes, and other procedures progress to and prioritize actions.
- Schedule patients, accordingly, discuss procedure consents, and ensure all clinical documents are accurate as it relates to procedures.
- Take radiographs of patients as needed or requested (Digital Periapical X-rays, Orthopantogram, CBCT scan, Clinical Photos.
- Perform lab duties such as taking intraoral scans, uploading them, pouring models (when needed), and fabricating whitening trays.
- Able to send cases to dental labs, properly enter into software with accurate return date giving enough time for proper turn around.
- Assist the dentist with 4-handed dentistry on all procedures.
- Able to perform expanded functions as a dental assistant.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education:
- Dental Assistant Certificate, required.
- At least three years of clinical experience, required.
- Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certificate, preferred.
- Certificate in Radiology, required.

Fort Wayne Oral Maxillofacial Surgery & Implant Center, Indiana
Premier, highly profitable, highly respected, well-established, busy, thriving three-office Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is seeking a full-time or part-time Board-eligible or Board-Certified Associate to start ASAP.
The candidate must be able to provide excellent surgical services, establish and maintain relationships with existing and new referring doctors, be enthusiastic, be very motivated, and be interested in improving the practice.
Partnership opportunity may become available for the right candidate after 5 years of working together, and mutually agree that it is a good partnership fit.
Practice is Implants, Bone grafting, Dentoalveolar surgery, and IV sedation heavy, with some Pathology, Trauma, and Orthognathic if desired. Full-scope practice is openly available if desired.
We are surrounded by four level 2 trauma hospitals, all within a 5-to-20-minute radius. Admitting privileges to these hospitals is encouraged.
Competitive minimum $650,000 base annual salary for full-time, 4 and ½ day week. Additional paid benefits include yearly malpractice insurance, health insurance, 2 weeks paid vacation, paid 1-week sick leave, company 401K match, and CE. May take more than 3 weeks, non-paid time off.
